A few things blooming in the yard
« on: August 30, 2008, 11:51:22 PM »
It has been sooooooo dry here, haven't even cut the grass in over a month, but try to water the plants a bit, to bad the cold well water is not the best thirst quencher.  Anyway I do have a few things blooming right now.

Beautiful!  Looks like red and pink are the order for the day.  What's that first one, a Hollyhock?

If that is just a few things, can't wait to see the garden in full bloom. Like that first shot with the pond in the background - nice ripples.

Cheers,

Mike

Been lots of work lately to get and keep blooms as it hasn't rained for sooooooo long and the cold well water is not a good thirst quencher, and with all the gardens it's hard to do it all in one night after work.   As for the water lilies I forgot to fertalize last month (busy, busy, busy) and now it's a bit late as I don't want to see an algae bloom going into the fall months.  Nights have been getting cold and the pads are begining to die back and not produce as many more.  Not enough time this year to enjoy it all as I would have hoped.
