Freeze warning tonight
« on: October 13, 2006, 06:20:28 PM »
Its supposed drop into the upper 20's tonight!   >:(- &-)  I guess that will be it for my pond plants for this season.  Seems like the ponding season gets shorter each year . . .

At least I don't live in Buffalo NY - this morning I heard they had 14-24" of lake effect (Erie) snow.

We got down into the low 50's last night and supposed to get down in the 40's tonight.  Winter stinks - especially when it comes this early!

njeeeeh, freezing here too - but hey, every season has its charm, right :)
Actually my pond did freeze over for the first time this autumn, last night.
The ice is thin though, luckily I just installed the de-icer yesterday, after watching the weather forecast on TV.

Today, I was actually sitting on my veranda overlooking the "frozen" garden, everything so peaceful...

The fish are fat & in good health, staying at the bottom in the deepest area ...

Made a comment to the fetching one a few days ago that we may have to turn the heat on if it gets much cooler and then today it warmed up @O@

I'm so ready to turn on the heat . . . I hate it when it gets cold, especially at night - no especially at shower time!

LOL!  When we had central air/heat put in a few years ago they put in ducting to the restroom area but not our shower room.  Even though the installers insisted the ducting to the restroom would also be enough to warm the adjacent shower room, the fetching one insisted they also put ducting into the shower room.  As she told them, "I like it toasty... I can't blame her. NO one likes to be cold at shower time!
Friends are the family I would choose.
