2 foot Lotus pads from Johnson & Smith?? is this for real?

I bought from these folks when i was a boy.  Loved Chameleons!  Even in recent times i have bought things like remote control fart machines!  Why grow up now?
 So they have been around a long time.
The latest catalog offers this: ""Grow Enormous Lily Pads!"  In less than 14 days after dropping the seeds in a bowl of water!
kit includes, 3 Lotus seeds, decorative acrylic rocks and clear growing bowl!  $7.98

OK, I'll bite, whats the catch?

Jerry, the only lotus that I know of with 2' leaves is the Sacred Lotus and it takes a lot more than 14 days to get that big. If not, somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong. :'(

Oh yeah the fart maching is a blast (oops) when used well 99% of the folks laugh til they cry.

You might get a plant from seed in 14 days, but you will certainly not get 2 foot pads in that time period. Sounds mis-leading.

Yes guys I know it's a wierd ad.  For 7.95 I am tempted just to see what it is.

Besides they now have a machine that makes annoying sounds, drives the listener nuts trying to figure out what it is and where it's coming from

   Jerry, HAve you seen the remote farting teddy bear?

I got one for my son( one Christmas, but he didn't know it farted. He thought it was just a bear. I had the remote. So at some point I hit the button and both kids (other one 5) looked around trying to figure out where that came from (blamed Daddy) then I did it when Daddy was out of the room. The bear has lights in the cheeks and blushes. When they saw that they of course broke down into hysterics! They tried all day to figure out how it worked.

I got it on ebay (where else?)
