new pond question

hi, i finished building my pond and would like too put in some fish before winter. the pond is 2500 gallons with an external pump that pumps to a 100 gallon bio filter and falls. is it to late in the season to get the bio filter up and running? should i wait until spring before i put fish in? thanks

IS is deep? If so throw them bad boys n there. The water is nice and they will shut down like every other fish would if they were n there for months. Read about feeding and temps. If you have depth they will be fine.

I agree. I think it's still warm enough to get your bio bugs going for a while anyway. By the way, high tail it to your profile and add your location and zone. I promise I won' tell anybody where you live. :'(
