LeeAnne here, visiting Sean in Vancouver. It is pouring rain but we've still managed to talk a bit about ponds and even sit outside by his since he now has a patio cover. Will upload photos later.

Tuesday night my DH and I entertained a couple from another pond forum and Cindi and her DH. It is fun to meet pond friends.

I really like Vancouver.

Did you go to the Zoo? The japanese gardens?

Its a day trip through Nanaimo to the Buchart Gardens, which are MAHvelous.

I was able to join the party briefly this afternoon at Sean's. The weather is very miserable today with rain and very high winds. We had hoped to visit a garden but that was not to be this time. Instead we sat out on Sean's patio for a while under the rain shelter. Sean has done a lot of work on the patio since the last time I saw it and everything looks wonderful. A few lilies were trying hard to bloom. There is lots of lovely foliage. We talked with Mike W. on the phone. Sean made us a nice lunch and now Sean, Mark, LeeAnne, Bob and Krista have gone out for dinner. I forgot my camera on the counter so you will have to wait for Sean or LeeAnne's photos. My parents are visiting so I couldn't make out for dinner. So sad!
Anyway thanks Sean for being such a gracious host and I hope you are having a great time tonight!

Looks like a good time was had - I feel like I was there as I had the chance to talk with Krista, LeeAnne and Maryvonne for quite a while on the phone. It was sort of pass the phone around during lunch, except of course, I did not get any of the food! It was also raining in L.A., so we could all identify.

It was great chatting with you guys, and having a few laughs.

nice pics...looks like u ate and ate...oh and drank ...would be nice if once a year we all tried to make a trip somewhere maybe a public pond or garden and met each other and visited for a weekend..then we could trade stuff also...just a thought..... lorraine

Just got home. It was a great time even though the weather was awful on Saturday.

Bob and I did go to Victoria before Vancouver and did visit Butchart Gardens. I will post photos tomorrow.

Thanks to Sean, Marc, Krista, Maryvonne, Ed and Joanne, was so nice to see all of you

Thanks for the invite LeeAnne... was so glad that I could deek away from life for a day. Short trip but oh so relaxing for me. Sean is such a wonderful host with comfy furniture inside and out. Really wasn't hard to talk me out of going out.

Dinner was good too

Mike it was just lovely to talk to you as well. Too bad we can't ship food like what we were eating across the border. Next time you'll just have to not be doing any renos... or maybe the next one can be at your place... anywhere to park my trailer?
