New kitty from LIjohn...
« on: October 07, 2008, 05:29:15 PM »
Rescued a kitty from my friend LIjohn (koiphen member and owns River Roads Koi) tonight.
Here are pix...
On the way home, all he did was curl up, or sprawl all over Jamies lap, pur, and be loved...
(John, these are taken on Route 24 going South)

First meal on the kitchen counter for peace and quiet!

Keeping an eye on that darn dog!  :o

Playing head games with Gigi...

Making friends...

Thank You John, Ernie is precious!  o(:-)

PS: First pees and poos in the litter box!  O0  :2thumbs:
Peace to all  ... Joyce

What a sweet little guy!  It never fails to amaze me how cats and kittens take to a litter box!  It's always a good day when someone takes in a kitty @O@

And Jamie is so beautiful!  o(:-)

Joyce, he looks just like my 13 yo tabby, Kramer (named after the character in the Seinfeld show).  I love your new kitty.  He looks so inquisitive and super cute.   o(:-) o(:-)

OK, I'll admit I had to look up polydactyl...shame upon me, I used to have a good vocabulary.   :-\

Anyhow, how many toes does he have?  It's a little hard to tell with all the fur.   :D

He's beautiful, BTW!!!   @O@

He has 2 thumbs on one side and 2.5 on the other side.  :D
They are almost opposable.
The vet said to watch that .5 thumb and make sure there isn't an ingrown claw inside.  :o
But the vet said so far there is no sign of a claw, but to keep an eye on it.

He LOVES to groom himself and is especially his front paws.  8)

My kitty's a poly too.  She has the same half toe also, and she ended up with claw problems.  Hers work, oh boy, do they work!  I can't keep her out of anything.  ::)  One thing I noticed was as a kitten she was very clumsy.  We thought she had balance/ear problems, but I guess it was just her getting used to her feet.  She's very graceful now, and if she does something unlady-like she looks around quickly as if to say, you did NOT see that!  lol
