is a cute little guy, Karen. I take it he doesn't do much damage to your yard (other than wiping out your veggie garden)? Otherwise, I don't think you would be calling him your little friend or saying that you have had one there for years.

Do you have cats or dogs outside that might go after him. I thought they could be pretty dangerous if cornered. Maybe my info is wrong?

P.S. We have a resident opossum that cleans up the overripe, rotting pears and apples that fall on the ground. I rather appreciate that...so I haven't told the DH. He might try to get rid of it if he knew. His dementia is
much worse now and I don't think I could convince him to leave it in the yard.

I saw the possum on the porch with two of the outdoor kittys and they were totally ignoring it. I don't think they are in any danger from it. If I did,
I might try to trap it and relocate it.
