Jessica, great job on the pumpkins! I don't get the reference to Phil Fulmer, but we are not football people.

greenthumbnails, your "Jack-o-Peppers" are adorable. Shows you don't have to have pumpkins to make a great Jack-o-Pepper.

Where has the time gone? We have our pumpkins and have yet to carve them. With all the homework the kids are getting, I'll have to pull them out of school to do it.
The schoolwork is ruthless this year. No time to be a kid, no time for play.

Love the pumpkins and pepper!  Next year, I want rats. lol

Our kids are grown but still enjoy carving pumpkins.  I invited them over one night last week for a bowl of soup and carving.  While they carved, I roasted the seeds and also tried a recipe hubby found on the internet for grilled pumpkin, it smelled good but tasted nasty.

We grow our own pumpkins but this year our patch was flooded two times and we had to replant, so the pumpkins were a little late.  No problem, we just carved green ones.

Thanks everyone, for the comments and sharing your great photos!!

greenthumbnails- your peppers are great! I saw something similar for sale in the meat department at our central market. Great idea! I bet they look even better cooked!

Karen J, Phil Fulmer is the coach for Tennessee. They're in the toilet this year.  ;D I totally know what you mean about finding time to do stuff. We had to carve ours last Saturday in order to get it done. With temps up to the 80s this week, they went bad fast! They're covered with slugs and gnats tonight...guess it adds to the effect.

Kat, great pumpkin! He reminds me of the Night before Christmas guy! Creepy!!

Indiana Karen, those are really good. With the way odd colored and shaped pumpkins are coming into style, you're a trendsetter!
