Hey Mike:

Thanks for the company the other night in Pasedena.  I still feel full from the lamb shishkabob!

Sorry I didn't have time to contact the other LA Ponders it would have been nice to meet Jerry and others too.

Good time had indeed.

Jerry, we discussed you at length (all good things of course!) and where you lived vis a vis Pasadena. It would have been great to all meet up. I was a little behind on my messages that weekend and didn't know I would be seeing Gary until 30 minutes prior.

Despite being just 15 minutes from the hotel where Gary was staying, I 'flew low' through San Marino to miss traffic, got myself turned around by the Santa Anita racetrack (note to city coucil - blocks should be square!), and turned up very late.

Gary, I obviously had missed some earlier communication, as I thought you were just a regular guy with a bit of water in your garden. I had no idea you were such a renowned expert in the lilly world. I would have brought notepad and pencil had I known.

Thanks again for dinner.

Cheers,

Mike

LOL Mike:

While my folks use to own Miami Water Lilies & Orchids I only consider myself an advanced collector and I'm truly humbled by the hybrids Craig has produced.  Not to mention the champion of getting the most out of a square inch...Sean.

The hybrids I found in the muck in our ponds were generally prototypical, but I found one Blue I particularly liked that I called, Blue Hybrid.  No one said I was creative with names.

However, if you need someone to build a pond, I've done more than my share of ponds from commercial to residential, while working with my folks in the 80's & 90's...can you say slave labor.
