I had not one, but 2 auditions for top TV shows. I was uniquely qualified for one.
Then Gastroenteritis struck! I will spare you the details, but my timing was awful.
Yes I asked to reschedule, but these folks get many applicants. I've not heard back :'(
I am 99% now, it was an easy fix The Dr says these things run a short course anyway, but Pepto Bismol; and Activated Charcoal worked wonders.

As far as show biz is concerned, just keep on plugging! :'(

well, Jerry, maybe you should sleep with the director and see if he can get you back in!

I had a friend who's younger sister was a regular background actress on Dynasty for a while and the director offered a bigger part to this at-the-time 20-something gal and she was so grossed out that she left show biz altogether! Another friend of mine is a regular on West Wing, Boston Legal, and a few sitcoms, and has been in dozens of commercials like IHOP, Geico, etc., and he loves it!

you'll get your chance again, I'm sure....

Thanks Lorraine, and it was Boston Legal Michael. I am confident, but time is fleeting. Should have started 20 years ago. :'( < not really crying, but the icon is so good.
An audition does not mean you will get it, but I did fit for the episode

Thanks Sunbeam, but that was not the problem.

I don't get excited, at last not outwardly.
I worry about memorizing, but even that gets easier with experience.
Im normal again but fatighe easily. I will be fit by Monday. The Dr thought so too, cause he said, "See me in three months!"

These were from a photo shoot called Senior At Home. They got me the call that I was not able to go to. the clothes amd the room are a set, the reels are mine. I even have a few surrounded by perscriptions while taking my blood pressure! And I wanted to be the guy that gets the girl!

Great photos Jerry. I especially like the top photo of you holding the reel. I now travel with Pepto Bismal pills..... Wasn't a problem in my youth when I could eat anything. I think I'm much more sensitive to food contamination/poisoning from restaurants now. I hate it when I'm in the car and my intestines tell me they didn't like something I ate.... What I hate even worse is having to stop and use a public restroom....although McDonald's tends to be clean.... I try to hang on until we reach home. Sometimes it's mind over sphincter muscle

I was a bit down in the dumps but you guys 'n gals sure made me feel good.
Yes there is a "next time"
Steve the reels are mine and i almost never had to fix a Penn Reel! Drag washers need to be replaced but only after catching a ton of fish.
Steve the photos are all pretend. Maybe one day you will see them on an AARP ad or the like.
I did sign releases and they can use them anyway they want, even on a political ad I'd not like.

Does anyone remember Tom Selleck on Salem cigarette billboards? NO I am not comparing my self to him, except in political philosophy.

Look what I just googled! He was and is one handsome dude!

Now if someone can give me a tutorial on how to put a DVD of a student film in the computer, you can see it here. The agreement will let me use 30 seconds of it.

One seems pretty good, except for the gut! I play this wonderful girls Grandfather. We are the only 2 in the film, so plenty of lines. I will have 2 more DVDs any day.

*Her Mom is a ponder in Colorado and has visited this site!
