Yah and then the mother goes back and leaves the boy and the father on the other side but there is still a boy alone on the first side that the mother will kill.

the children are safe without the parents as long as the cop is with the prisoner.  keep that in mind.  for me, the cop and prisoner cross and go back more than once

Karen, Thanks for posting these games. I've had family over here for the past few days and after they left, this was the BEST brain-drain ever!

Esther, I spent all day at this ( :D {:-P;;). I wrote it all down (me geek). If you are really going crazy, read on. Spoiler follows! Don't read this if you're trying to figure it out yourself. Only read this if you're at your wits end.

1. Police man and thief cross.
2. Bring Policeman back.
3. Policeman brings boy over.
4. Policeman and thief go back.
5. Father and Son go over
6. Father comes back.
7. Mother and Father over.
8. Mom comes back.
9. Policeman and thief over.
10. Father comes back.
11. Mother and Father go over.
12. Mother comes back.
13. Mother and Daughter go over.
14. Policeman and Thief come back.
15. Policeman and Daughter go over.
16. Policeman comes back
17. Policeman and Thief go over. Game over.

This is my convoluted logic. Anybody get less than 17 steps? I feel I'm missing something.

Karen I could scream!!!!! I finally did it but it took maybe 20 minutes and while I was doing it, you posted the "how to"...... I hate stuff like this. I never did get the stupid frogs where they needed to be. AND I DON'T CARE >:( (she says as she goes back to the frogs and does the 10th try)

Esther, I had to go back to the frogs too. I can get it, but every time I sit down and try I have to re-learn it. This is a bad sign for memory trouble.  :(

I had to edit my "how to" post...  :(  (missing two steps) But I think I got it!  @O@

This is a lot like the problems they gave me in Computer Science 101 (circa 1989). It was all kinds of stuff like this. I failed the class.  ;) F   :)

OK now you post the "how toos"  I coppied the link so I wouldn't have to come back here all the time, I've been working on this all day between cleaning and shopping and I got it just now!!!! Actually I'm glad I got it without the cheats, more of a real accomplishment.  I'm going to pass these on to friends and family,  Thanks this was fun.

Marla, you are truly crazy. It wasn't fun at all  {nono}. Now if I were having to figure out some DIY thing, that would be fun. LOL  :D Trouble is with this stuff. I walk away and think that I'm DONE, GONNA LEAVE IT FOREVER, but then I sneak back just one more time, TO NOT GET IT AGAIN!!!

Someone, I won't say who, felt pity on me and sent me the cheat sheet for the frogs. I don't know whether to thank him or slap him. I had determined to not EVER go back. LOL.

Esther, the frog one was pretty easy for me, as when we were kids my Dad had one of those mind trick games that was very similar, it consisted of a line of marbles, green and blue..... same concept.  Now the second one took me much longer, I emailed the link to both of them to family and friends...can't wait to hear who may or may not have gotten them accomplished, but I'm sure my Dad will be able to do them quickly.

Esther, I think I have this whole mess all figured out. It's simple! I will come to your house and solve all your mind game problems, then you will come to my house and solve all my DIY problems. Sound fair?  :D

Sounds fair Karen.

I am an only child and never played games as a child. There was noone with whom to play games. We lived on a farm and my parents were not the types to play games with me. So I don't know if it is because my brain just doesn't think that way or because I was never exposed to games.
