I have some sort of pop-up blocker so I rarely get any of those. But I hear you about the idiocy of some of these ads. I mean, take the spam emails for Viagra, Cialis, et al.
They send out the emails and a vast majority of the population writes rules: delete emails with Viagra, Cialis, etc. The spammers know this, so they start spelling it V1agr@, Cial1s....do these idiots think that just because they found a way around our message rules that we are impressed...and NOW we will buy from them???
The very sad part of all this is that it must be working because if it didn't they wouldn't have any need to spam us. So there are people out there who are apparently buying from those ads.
