Look what Ken did.

Ken is Pete's son, Cindi's brother.

I gave him these pieces of wood to woodburn family initials on. They are the wind catchers for the wind chimes. I told him he could do whatever the spirit moved him to do. I think he had fun.

I can't wait to get my Christmas present from him. We had given him some cedar shake shingles that were in an old storage building. He is using them to make wren houses. I saw one he gave to my sister in law last night and it is marvelous. He woodburned scenes on the sides and it has plexiglass on the sides up near the top. His thinking was to maybe be able to look in and see the babies. I wondered if momma wren might not like that but when we think of natural nests, it is out in the open.

It's too bad, he hasn't had a job for almost two years. He did work for a while in that time but not much. Our family is really hurting every which way we look, either personally or financially.
