Thanks to everyone for the compliments. I'll tell Bob.

The pump was not killed by the ice and snow,  we are up to 23" here this winter.  It is an unheard of amount for us. It is not still on the ground though. It showed twice while I was in Seattle last week. We had a bad windstorm too and our yard is covered by debris from neighbor's fir trees.

The pump is a Pondmaster HyDrive 3200.  We bought the 1500 first and it was not powerful enough. I'm very happy with the customer service and prices I got from Pondliner.com.

Bob built platforms for the columns to sit on from cinder blocks and slate tiles. He covered the cinder blocks with slate tiles as they are ugly and would show. The pond is about two feet deep, maybe less. He built a "T" only with three pipes not two for the hoses to connect to the pump. He used PVC.

I need to tweak the rock edge, the liner shows in spots, pull weeds and plant some groundcovers.

I'm trying to rip out the dark blue star creeper (Pratia) that I had planted several years ago. It is great on the pond edges but it smothers my heathers and dwarf conifers. I thought it would cover the ground between the other plants but it is very aggressive growing up through them and over them even if there is bare dirt close by.
