Hi there everyone, I just joined this forum.  I've been a pond builder for about ten years and a landscaper for about twenty.  I was sent here from another pond forum because one of the members said that you guys had the best pond forum around.

Hello, and welcome!  Yes, we DO have a wonderful forum.  And the people are the best around - everyone's friendly and kind and we have built great friendships here.  Say, we even have a coupla folk who are professional pond builders (Spanish Leprechan, for one), so you're in good company!

Oh, and we like pictures.  hint hint

Welcome to the forum, Doug. Being a pond builder, maybe you can help some of the do-it-yourselfers that need advice. You might even learn something as well. :)
Happy ponding,

Welcome Doug.  Are you the Hurth builder here in WI?   I've seen  pictures and read articles and admired there work,  always thought about getting involved in there pond show, but don't live real close to that area.

Hi all,
Hey it is good to feel so welcome.  Marla, yes I am the Hurth of Hurth Waterscapes and thank you for the compliments.  Well, if you are all so darn pond crazy then I guess I will fit right in.  I'm in S.E. Wisconsin.  Plenty cold around here right about now, haven't seen my fish since November.  I'll do a bit of work on my profile if I can figure it out.

Thanks for all of the compliments on the website.  The site was constructed by an ex-employee who did a great job.  Unfortunately, he is no longer working with me for economic reasons.  So, I'm taking over the reigns and getting much more into all of the web stuff.  I'll be adding content and moving things around a bit.  I'm also starting a blog www.pondblog.com.  Not too exciting yet, but I've got loads of info that I intend to post to both of my sites over the next couple of months, so keep checking back.  I'll definitely link to this forum, so far it is great.  I only hope that I can find enough time to complete all of my web tasks and still have time to post here.  I'll need to get a laptop so I can sit pond side and work on the web in the summer.

Steve

Yeah Steve I know your right, I should take the time and go, I think I will truely make an effort this year.

Doug, I did look at your blog....for some reason though on the last entry on the comming cold weather when I clicked on the "read more" link I came up with a blank page.  I do like the site though nicely done, even bookmarked it in my favorites.  A laptop by the pond, I've thought that would be nice but I think I would get out there and instead of being on the laptop the sounds would draw my mind and soul to wander in other relaxing thoughts.......or noticing things to do and the laptop would be put down. ;)
