Read my weather thinge, then read it again tomorrow at 6am and again the next day at 6am.
Should be somewhere around 18-20 below.
I'll be out ice fishing

The old wood stove will be working hard for a couple days

, actually has been for the week.
Haven't turned on the furnace yet this winter.

Hey Jerry,
Plan on catching a bunch of walleyes.

We are going over to the Mississippi and fishing below the dam at Genoa. It's really cool being so close to open water while ice fishing.
I figure if I go through they'll find me in the spring somewhere in Missouri.
BTW, I'm planning on staying ON TOP of the ice

Supposed to be somewhere around 20 beolw when we head out.

It's a balmy -4*F here right now, tonight is to get down to possibly -15* and that's not with a windchill. I will not be ice fishing like Steve, I'll be at work. Thurs. night should be colder but then we will warm up for the weekend above zero but still single didgits.

Freakin' HOT this week!

It was about 85* today with Santa Ana winds, really hot and DRYYYY. After a few days of this heat the interior of the house is starting to heat up. Right now it's just starting to cool down and all my windows are opened to catch the breeze.

About 5* with wind chill at around -20....after 7 inches of snow today. Same for the rest of the week and in the 20's on Saturday. This is the kind of weather that makes the 20's feel warm.

I had granddaughters today (and probably tomorrow too) -- after a 2 hour delay in a snowstorm they had school

THEN called a two-hour early release. Parents are already at work, the weather is TERRIBLE, so buses back out on the roads again. THe thinking behind all of it is they have used up their "snow days" and they don't want to go longer in the spring. I thought safety should be first with children? And to top it all off today on the front page of the paper the board of education voted to give the superintendent a 5 per cent pay raise. In this area with such high unemployment..and parents with kids in sports have to pay to play? End of rant...(but still pi$$ed off)!

Gonna stay below 0 today and colder tonight.

Always drops a bit at daybreak, now -18

It was minus 4 this morning. Now it is minus 1. We bury my dad today with a high of 13 and wind chils could be minus 15 or 20. It will not be a good day.

Here in Wichita KS, temp is finally @ a whopping 8F. The wind chill was negative something and now finally positive single digit. Brrrrrrrrrrr.........

Last night it got down to 32°F and it's only getting up in the high 50's/low 60's during the day. It is suppose to get down below 20°F this weekend. BRRRRR!

My parent's used to go ice fishing at Lake Erie . There was little "huts" that had holes in the
ice for them to fish out of . I thought they were crazy myself...

....not saying you are...

Do you cut a hole in the ice yourself ?

Been ruff here this week in Louisiana. All of the nights have been below freezing. Today was a high of 40, now at 10:30 it is 31 degrees and aroung dawn thery say it will be in the 20 with maybe high of 40 degrees tomorrow Brrrr

In the NC mountains, at midnight on the 14th, it is -1 degree and still dropping, with an approx. wind chill of -25 degrees (according to the local weather).

It's 1am and -19 now. Can't wait to see the temp at 7am.
Me and my buddies came up with a number of good reasons to say home tomorrow. :'(

I'll be sitting by the wood stove myself.

Here is a pic from a couple years ago fishing below the dam. I'm sure the temps were much different.

Bonnie, I have a number of ice augers, 5" & 6" electric, 8" gas, and 5" & 6" hand. This is my 6" electric drilled into my pond.

4 am and -22*F (and that's without the windchill), went out very quickly to check the holes all is well. High today an expected -16*. My car has been on the battery charger all night as it would not start when I left work. Today I'll go out and start it a few times to avoid that......probably need a new battery, the car is 5yrs old with the same battery.
