I just looked at all 53 slides, and my comment is: Breathtakingly gorgeous!!!

And your kitty has a perfect spot to sit and watch the fish.
Thanks,
Steve

OMG!!!!!!! your pond is stupendous and your pictures beautiful so sharp what camera are you using.....I'm so in the market for a new camera.   Loved all the pictures.....even the one with the frog with the bird in it's mouth, what a site and then to get it caught on a picture.  Your fish are lovely and look healthy and the water nice and clear.  Where are you located?  Real cold or just a fluke snow.....do you keep the falls running all winter?

Stunning!  Thanks for sharing.

That frog-eating-bird shot could be in National Graphic.

I live on Long Island New York. After those pictures of the ice we shut down the waterfall .We could not keep up with the ice. I  added some more of the frog pictures today. We also had visiting ducks. My cameras are old but good.I used my olympus C-765 and my Fuji Fine pix. I would not recommend the fuji because my USB cable stopped working in sync with computer and it was not the cable.I would go to the store and feel the camera to see if it fits your hand. The more mega pixles the better. My camera are only 6 and 4. Thankfully  my olympus uses the same card so I am able to put them in with it. I did submit the photo to National Graphic on my photo shots. We are getting another snow storm so I will take some snow pictures of the pond. Thanks for all the nice comments

Funny Donna, I have a small compact olympus....I don't use it much as the shutter speed is sooooo slow.  I also have a Fuji S3000, takes great bright light but not good low light, I liked it because it was larger felt more like the camera I had been use to.  Both cameras are older and only 3meg, but the reason I got the olympus was the fact that they took the same card.  I've been leaning towards an slr as I really miss my canon AE1 that my son fried quite some years ago and I never replaced it, it was a fantastic camera.

Hi Donna. Great shots of a great pond. Do you have a black lab and a yellow lab? I have a dog that is half yellow lab and half chow. She looks like a yellow lab except for the big purple spot on her tongue and her curled tail.
Happy ponding,

Well that was nice. I sent the kids off to school, got a nice hot cup of coffee, and watched your slide show.  O0 Beautiful pond! I love how the bridge leads to the gazebo. Pretty waterfall, too.

Just wondering- are you the same Donna I traded with a few years back? My brain is aging.  ;)

Love that pic of your cat.

I have the yellow lab his name is Grady and the black lab is his best friend Stanley. The cats name is Taye my daughter brought him home from college and he has never left.
Karen I have never traded so it is not me. What do you trade?
It took me a long time to design the pond and backyard but it is well worth it. My husband myself and a friend built the pond.I picked out every rock in the pond and waterfall. The bridge is great because you can hang out and see all that is going on.

Absolutely gorgeous!  Wow, what wonderful pics.

Your backyard and pond are beautiful and it's so nice that you can say "we built it ourselves".

Love your dog and your storage shed.  Did you build it?  I have been wanting something like that.

I had to take a doubletake when I looked at the pic of you and hubby standing in front of the glacier in Alaska.
We took a cruise in 2006 and have a pic just like that one.  We are even dressed the same as you guys, hubbys hat, moustache and all.

Wonderful pictures!  Beautiful pond!  The frog eating the bird is disgusting...I didn't know they could do that!

I have been wanting to make a "flower bed" by the edge of my pond too....what do you do to keep the dirt out?

The mulch is packed down and it really doesn't get into the pond. I have the rocks around to keep it out.Cant wait till spring. I planted some bulbs. This is only the 2nd year so I am still planting and tweaking.
