 :D I can't stop laughing.  ;D HE was fixing breakfast and had taken a new bread thingy that is made out of whole wheat and kinda like a Pita but smaller around and cut in half. He had toasted the bread and put a slice of ham and cheese on it and then thought he should put the hard boiled egg in to heat it before adding it to the sandwich.  @O@ LOL I heard the explosion and thought he had put a whole raw egg in there.  :o

I will say though, some good came from it. He put the big pieces on his sandwich. Smokey licked the platter clean. And Pete cleaned the microwave like it never happened. HE is such a good man. He didn't even get mad that it happened or that I laughed.

Oh boy, what a mess.  I can imagine the smell of that egg too.  Wish he could teach mine to clean up after making a mess.

Once the neighbor across the street was boiling eggs for Easter.  She forgot about them.  Even boiling in water, they can blow up.  They were on her ceiling, stove, floor etc.  We could smell it across the road to our house.  We all took our fans over for her to put in the windows to help air out the house.

Why do eggs do that? I can understand unpeeled eggs... but peeled ones?

There is a membrane around the yolk and I would think that when the yolk begins to steam, that is what causes it to explode.

Mikey, who would think to put a CD or a lightbulb in milk and put them in a microwave? Also wonder why a grape would be that way.
