Waded Into The Pond...
« on: April 03, 2009, 11:03:32 AM »
Went in the big pond today in my vinyl hip boots to harvest a few lily divisions.
Yanked my pants as high as they would go, still managed to 'soil' myself.   lol

Ahhhhhh...the fresh smell of pond muck wafting up from my pants and hands for the rest of the afternoon.   ::)  ;)
Peace to all  ... Joyce

Yeah, I wasn't planning on getting it on me.
I had my pants HIKED all the way up.  :o   I think it squirted straight up when I was walking in the muddy shallows by the water fall.
I'm trying to leave early ... the phone guy is here in the office switching our phone service over from what it was to Optimum.
He's crawling around under my desk redoing the cables and wires into my phones, servers and computers and giving me funny looks.
I am standing as far away as I can....I saw him check his shoes.... LOL...

Anyway, can't get any work done while he's here so everyone is leaving.  8)

Would love a leak-proof pair of hip boots or wader pants the fishermen use.  If the muck smells like the dirt of a lily or lotus pot in the spring....forgettttaboudit!!

Tink you are offbase here. Hetero (no offense to anyone) men do not WANT their women smelling like men. Its ok for most if they get dirty but dirty and smelling like a man are 2 different things.

So Red admits men smell like pond scum....  ;)

And about wanting your woman or man to stink, that's a fetish thing and has nothing to do with sexual preference.  :o ;)

Annette...yeah, it smells JUST like stinky lotus and lily pot soil...but WORSE!  :P

I eventually went out and used the power washer for the big sod trucks on the lowest setting and jetted the muck off my pants and out from under my nails.
We got hit by a BAD line of T-Storms yesterday so I couldn't go home until it was over. Was pretty scary for a while there.  :o

The Optimum Guy and I had to stick around util 5, ended up making a pot of coffee and chatting about ponds, discussing a few of my landscape plans that
were lying around my office in some sort of progress and the Landscape Software, while the worst of the storm was going on.
Told him the stench was from the pond, then showed him the lilies in the back of my Jeep. (He had been watching me scrub my hands all afternoon anyway.)
When I opened the Jeep, that stench wafted out...so he knew it was the lilies...and not me. ;D

Good job Joyce, making the best of a "stinky" situation and enjoying coffee and a chat with the tech guy..makes for good PR too!  8)

My pump wasn't working well the other day so DH and I took it out and sprayed everything with the hose and decided to hook up the biofilter.  I thought "I can do this without getting dirty"------ :o  it just can't be done.

The first spray with the hose on the filter, that black muck came back on me and I was peppered with that smelly, black, nutritious, organism rich goo.   ::)  We were going into town to grab something to eat before stopping at DD #1's apartment so I decided I'd change my clothes for the benefit of everyone around me.  I hate it when I "soil" myself too  lol

lol yeah I guess I worded that wrong reddad.. but I think alot of men like woman that arent afriad to get dirty, ruin their nails or their hair and cant have fun for worrying with how they look.  When my brother sees a woman ona tracker hes like wow... thats the kind of reference I meant.

I didn't anyone make this clear yet. Men do not smell like pond muck unless they have been in pond muck. :)

How in the world did we get from "Joyce smells like pond muck" to "guys are pond muck"?

Hey, Jerry, you want to referee this injustice.

Thanks,

Wow, in this thread, I learned a few things:

1. Joyce needs some waders without holes
2. Guys smell like pond muck
3. Computer guys don't mind strong odors
4. Guys need emission control
5. Guys think their enmissions smell like cinnamon buns
6. Dogs cannot be trusted with smells, after all they always have their nose in another dogs rear-end
7. "We're just men, we're doing the best we can.  Live with it..." lol

Did I miss anything?

My waders are leak free. The mud squished vertically up my leg.  :o

And Freddy was probably smelling Chucks farts and taking credit for them, typical man.  :-)~
