Braeden was a tremendous, courageous example for us all, his family, and this "family" who only knew him through the story of his struggle. He was and is a terrific kid.
I am SO GLAD that he had the last several months at home. He got to play the Wiii, he got to know his siblings, and he got to die in the arms of love.
Its only sad for us who are left behind.
When my daughter died, one of the most comforting things said, in a time when I could not be comforted, was that, when the little ones die - they grow to perfect understanding. And I believe that. So in addition to being relieved of pain, he now is wiser than we can hope to be until we join him. He knows how much he is loved and missed. And he understands how hard his parents fought to keep him.
Thats a lovely thing.
