Braeden went home
« on: April 18, 2009, 03:01:49 AM »
At 2:15 this morning, Dawn got up to administer the pain meds that Braeden was taking. They heard him make some sounds which they hadn't heard for a few days, so went to him. They sat him up to try to make him more comfortable and then Kevin said he went limp and he wondered if he had gone back to sleep. Dawn realized he was no longer breathing. Braeden is no longer in pain and is walking the streets of gold as you read this.

Join us in praise to the Father for carrying us step by step through this past two years. No He didn't give us our heart's desire but we are convinced He has been glorified much more than if Braeden would have been healed on earth. It has been a joy to have the loan of our little Bub for 3 years and 11 months. He would have been 4 on May 16. Now he has a new birthday.

Dear, dear Esther,
I sit here and cry.  Cry with relief that Braeden's trial is over.  Cry that the life of a sweet child has been so short and so very hard.  Cry for his parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family and friends who will miss him so much.  Cry for you Esther who have been so generous in sharing your life with us, given us glimpses of your very special little family and allowed us to share this painful journey with you.  May you all find the peace that has been given to Braeden now.

Dear Esther,

The first thing I thought about this morning as I was waking up was Braeden and now I read this and  :'(

Through you and this board Braeden touched my heart and in my mind he is a superhero.  For all that he endured at such a young age.  It seems so unfair.  But he set an example that I hope to follow.  As Emm said, thanks for sharing him with us.  I'm sure there are many who will cherish his memory.

Rest in peace little Braeden.

Braeden was a tremendous, courageous example for us all, his family, and this "family" who only knew him through the story of his struggle. He was and is a terrific kid.
I am SO GLAD that he had the last several months at home. He got to play the Wiii, he got to know his siblings, and he got to die in the arms of love.
Its only sad for us who are left behind.

When my daughter died, one of the most comforting things said, in a time when I could not be comforted, was that, when the little ones die - they grow to perfect understanding. And I believe that. So in addition to being relieved of pain, he now is wiser than we can hope to be until we join him. He knows how much he is loved and missed. And he understands how hard his parents fought to keep him.

Thats a lovely thing. :)

Everyone has already put into words so well what we are all feeling.  I also thought of Braden as I awoke and added a special prayer for him with my prayers this morning.  Little did I know that he was already in heaven.

God bless you and your family.

Dearest dearest Esther,

I will miss Braeden.  An angel has risen.  Your accounts of his life have attached themselves to me.  Love and courage are the only words that come to mind when I think of the feelings you and your family have given Braeden.

My love and hugs to you and your wonderful family.  Others posted beautiful sentiments, I can only agree and repeat.

Bless you all.

Esther,
:'( :'( :'(  I am so sorry. I, like everyone else, have tears in my eyes when reading this. I feel through your updates like I have come to know Braeden. My heart breaks for you and your family.

I'm sure it is a comfort knowing that Braeden is finally at peace with no more pain and suffering.

It was a blessing that Braeden was born into your family. From your posts and pictures it was obvious that every day was made special and they made every day count. Now they have many precious memories and photos to remind them of their "Superhero" and I'm sure they are thankful for that.

Rest in peace, Braeden.

Oh Esther....I am crying also. However, as all of us here on earth are mourning Braeden is rejoicing. Why little ones have to die so young we will never understand until we arrive in heaven.
My prayers are now for comfort for you and the rest of Braeden's family.

I didn't get to know Braedon but my heart is with you Esther and your family. It's very nice to see that there are a lot of people here who trust in the Lord and are so caring about others and there pain. Braedon is in the hands of our Lord now and is not sick anymore. Someday we will all meet in Heaven. That will be a joy!

I was really hoping this would not drag out terribly long for him. He looked so tired in some of his recent pictures.
He is in good hands now and will live on in all of your hearts.

Prayers that god will be with you and your family in this time of grief.  My daughter went through a long period where she was not expected to live.  We did the make a wish to disney and a cruise but God had different plans for her.  She is 21 today.  At that time I took comfort that if God choose to take her, that he is God and doesnt make mistakes . that for reasons I didnt understand and couldnd know, it was for her good.   Maybe this wll be a comfort to you in the days ahead as it was to me.
