Too much fish?
« on: May 07, 2009, 01:03:19 PM »
So I really feel that I am overstocked.  I know that my pond is too small and too shallow to support this guy/gal much longer.  My DH does not know all the info that I do, since he is not the "pond" person....so he gets crazy when I talk about getting rid of the one big koi I have.  He really is too big for the pond and this year has destroyed my plants.  He never did that before and I really don't like it.  :(  The rest of my fish are goldfish and there are a lot of them.  So how do I get to the point where he will understand the need?  I think I will miss him/her too though....   :'(

easiest answer is tell him you have to dig a larger pond. Either you get a larger pond or he sees the light.

yup sounds like the most plausible answer, bigger and deeper pond!

Or radically update your filtration..but that won't keep it out of your plants.
