So Saturday I'm playing with my horse at Savannah's. After a long walk into town and back, I go to water her. While Annie Mae is inhaling 10 gallons or so, I notice in the bottom of the water trough this STUFF growing up from the bottom. Close examination shows it's some form of underwater plant. Closer examination shows there are SEVERAL of these things growing at fairly UNIFORM intervals in the trough. Even CLOSER examination shows this isn't the only trough with these plantings.
Ahem.
I've been going down the list of possible suspects, and have basically decided it was a CERTAIN house-guest, from the East Coast, who has a reputation for creative green mayhem.
So Ms. Joyce... fess-up.
Are you the culprit? What the heck is it? To my (un-green, clueless) eye, it looks like a cross between one of those terrestrial "spider-plants" and an aquatic reed. At the rate it's growing, it'll be out of the trough by the end of the week! It's clearly VERY happy! Since Annie Mae is looking at it like "Food??", I need to get an ID on it.
