Sorry to report-Land Lily to trade or sell
« on: May 11, 2009, 09:03:10 PM »
I had a close relative fall ill a few weeks ago and died.  I am not able to follow through with this post at this time.  I will post what is available at a later time.

Myra

I have a number of plants - land and water to divide.  I have the lily pic below that is ready to ship. Let me know if you are interested.  I would like to trade for some water lettuce.  I think I have enought for at least 4 diviisions. I will be shipping from Louisiana.

Like so many others, I am not sure when I will have the time but I hope to get to most by the end of this month.  I do have some four leaf clover, penny wart, lots of blue pickerel, a large umbrela plant to start with before I even think about the water lilies.

Nope, I don't have any of the plants you listed.  I will look tomorrow more closely at the pickerel for the color.  Will let you know then.

FYI
that is an Iris not a lily that is blooming purple in the picture and does look like Black Gamecock.

Is the 4 leaf clover hardy in zone 7 (Washington state)? If so I'd sure like some too. Oh and how do you plant them?

Water clover doesn't just float like water hyacinths do. Not sure how to describe it but it's growth habit is more like waterlilies it has long stems.

I have had poor luck with it but have seen it growing beautifully here in Portland. I tried it just stuck between rocks in my pond and not potted in dirt.

It is hardy down to zone 6.

I live in zone 6b and the varigated water clover I had didn't survive the mild winter we had.

But the iris do great!
