Do you Felipe take this woman..

My son and his wife got divorced a few years ago. He has turned his life around now and has a motorcycle ministry. He even teaches Sunday School at their church. I'm very proud of him and am awestruck by his words when I hear hime pray in front of the congregation. They got remarried yesterday evening. My son Felipe is on the right and this is my son in law Zack, another fine young man.

Congratulations and good for them! I love being married.  My DH says it's the best thing that ever happened to him (he doesn't know I whisper that to him while he's sleeping).

Good looking men in your family, BullFrog, all around!  Teisha, too.  But that Bug - she's the No. 1 Taker!!!

Congrats on the son making changes and winning his bride back.  I'm glad she stuck around and stuck it out.  Also glad she got out while the times were bad, as that would have been detrimental to her and to the kids.  But I'm so happy they are a family again.  Most situations like that don't have such happy endings. 

Do you all watch Intervention, esp. when they show the follow-ups?  This is like the best ever version of Intervention!   @O@

Thanks Julles, Bug is quite the charmer and just loaded with a really unique personality. She spends the night often and Loves her Maw Maw vicki. Vicki cooked her breakfast but she always decides what she wants to wear, she is such a girl. This particular morning for her breakfast wardrobe she wanted her hair in a topknot and to wear her shades...



Just look at that little subdued smile, she looks wise beyond her years...



She was a lot younger here and her hair is longer now, she looks like she is really contemplating something here...

We are a very happy family. My father was so old when I was born i always wanted to have kids young so I could do things with them. I taught Felipe how to ride a motorcycle from the time that he was about ten. i would put him in front of me on my Yamaha and get him to hold the handlebars and hold the throttle open. I asked him...

"Ya got it?"

"Yeah Dad!"

I would slowly let go and hold my breath while I eased back on the seat away from him and tell him that he was doing the driving. He was enthralled, he said it was almost like you really didn't have to do anything, it was like the bike obeyed your thoughts. Last summer we made a 100 plus mile ride to the beach and back to a resteraunt "Steve's Landing."

My son in law Zack on the left rides a Harley low Rider like mine. My daughter Amber is next to him, old Dad is in the middle, next is Teisha and my son Felipe who now rides a Harley Rocker C. The family that plays together stays together.

DH has a susuki 1000.. fastest production road bike in it's day.  He's taken it to Alaska and back 5 times..he's nuts  lol

God put us together..2nd time round for both of us... God made this matchin heaven

Bullfrog, I'm so glad they got back together. And you all are a great looking bunch. I had to smile all the way through the pictures. I'm sure everyone was so happy for the bride and groom. Hopefully they each have learned some lessons.

Yesterday on the news, they showed a picture of a very fancy vehicle. I can't begin to describe it but a guy who is in with a bunch of bike riders purchased a small pipe organ. He must have also been very rich and very talented because he either paid somebody to do it or did it himself----oh yah, he somehow had a vehicle at the front of this thing and then there was a flat area and then a kind of chapel shaped building that held the pipes and organ. It showed him performing a marriage on the flat area. I don't think it was a trailer. It seems like it was all connected. It was all painted white and was very elegant. I didn't think it quite fit with his long hair, headband, and leather duds. But I guess he must have been licensed to perform marriages. Guess it doesn't matter what you look like. After all the bride and groom were in leathers too.

Just yesterday, I got a call from an old friend I haven't talked to in at least 5 years, probably more.  One of the newsy bits she caught me up to date on, is she and her ex just got remarried.  They were already seperated when I met her, back in the mid '80's, and had little if any contact, even though they had two kids.  My friend raised the kids (they are now 26 and 39!!!!) pretty much on her own.  Now the father has been six years clean and sober, and they've reunited.  Denice is totally happy, says it's like fitting your hand into an old glove, and they are content and well.

We plan on renewing our vows at in 5 more years on our tenth. I told you the story about the Poop Deck. Marie had a costume wedding there. You could come as anything as long as you were in a costume. They had Santa, the Easter Bunny, you name it. We had already decided to get married and went out on the deck and talked about it. I told her...

"You know we have both lived outside of the law when we were younger, got in trouble and did a little time, how about Pirates? (this was befor the Pirates of the Carribean movie.) She jumped all over it and said...

"Yeah! And the women can dress as wenches with the boostiers!!"

Then I said "I've been a firefighter for 21 years, I want the Galveston Fire Department to pull a pumper up right here and load the entire wedding party on top of the hose rack and parade us up and down the Seawall."

She said, "Baby, if you can pull that off let's do it."

Several months later, the Chaplain of the GFD in full dress uniform married us on that jetty while a circle of pirates and wenches looked on. We had just enough time to make it back to the Poop Deck for a few beers when that 68 LaFrance pumper, a parade truck pulled up and we all climbed up on the top. Galveston has a lot of outdoor patio bars on the Seawall and the truck went all the way down the seawall blowing the airhorn and siren at times with all of these pirates and wenches waving swords and pistols at the people. Several people later told me that was the coolest wedding they had ever been to, didn't even have to rent a tux, just a doo rag and a patch on their eye. The pictures are on my old PC, I'll have to find the disc and put them up here. The invitation read..
