Screen name significance?

What does your screen name mean to you? Mine is easy, it was a pond site and I'm full of bull so Bullfrog was just natural.

Kimkass, is my aol screen name.  Years ago you were limited to how many characters you could have.  Of course Kim is very popular.  So I used Kim + part of my daughters name Kassidy  so we have Kimkass.

Some people look at it a different way.  Once my Aunt use to email me all the time, and she called my mom and said my screen name was horrible.  What? She said it stood for
Kim Kick *ss, no but I felt like kicking her's.  I blocked her after that.

My name here is simple.  KY Kim, Kim from Kentucky.

Back in '99 when I registered for the Watergardening Magazine forum it was my first online registration and I didn't know to make up a clever name. It wouldn't let me register with just LeeAnne so I added the first number I thought of which was 151 from my days long ago drinking 151 Bacardi.

On eBay's forums I am buyorsell888 (not too hard to figure out, buyorsell was taken and I had to add a number and 151 was also taken) and the same on Garden Web since Spike banned LeeAnne151 for asking him why he sent me to Disneyland.

This is a great thread!  I have been wondering what some of the nicknames stood for.  A while back Howell had asked me what mine stood for in a thread that I think only he and Esther were in; to recap I couldn't decide between "Greenthumb" as I love to garden (even if many plants still die on me) and "Dirty Fingernails" as a result of my hobby I can never seem to get the dirt out from underneath them....I figured that on a gardening forum that "greenthumb" had to have already been taken.  I settled for "Greenthumbnails" instead.  Funny thing is every time I see the thumbnails part I am thinking of the thumbnails as in mini pics on the computer, go figure...
My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!

My husbands sister called me an odd duck all the time (so came the photo of the duck my son sent me) and then it went to jw duck when I signed my emails and then I just dropped the duck to jw which are just simply my initials as I'm not a Jehovah Witness........not that there is anything wrong with that.

Well my screen name is very important to me. I chose it when I first started online with the computer because I didn't know I should choose some cute fancy name. I just used my first name. I often wonder why one of those "screen names" is necessary when we sign our posts with our real name anyway.

Actually mine's pretty easy too - I have a passion for purple, hence purplepshn (pshn - for passion) and the year.  My email - tazmansbabe is because my fiance loves the character Taz and he's my babe... If I go by tshackett - that's my name Tonya Sue Hackett...

This is cool, I'm always trying to figure out what people's names stand for!

I named myself after my first shubunkin, Kabuki. He was named after Kabuki Theatre, because he has such a silly face and an orange triangle on his head, and it looks like a mask to me.

Gardening of any kind is my favorite hobby. I LOVE to be outside, absolutely hate air conditioning so if DH turns the a/c on I spend biggest share of my spring and summer days outside. Thus...I came up with livetogarden. On a somewhat related subject....our last name is Eaton and, thanks to a cousin, we have a sign in our yard that says 'Entering the Garden of Eaton'. Our daughter is getting her degree in landscape architecture and horticulture, she used my cousin's idea and named her company 'Garden of Eaton Designs'. A lawyer friend of hers even trademarked the name for her.

This was the very first forum I signed up.  At the time my kids took up all my time, then all of a sudden they grew up.  Now most of the time I used to spend on them is spent on my life's passion.  Designing and working on my own garden, including the ponds.  I eventually fired the "gardener".

My screen name is a combination of my kids nicknames.  After that first breach of AP by hackers  >:(- I had to change a few letters to its current spelling.  Mi=Michael and moi=little sister (DD).  Threw in the k to add koi for the fish in my first pond the 2nd time around.

Mikey, you don't hate everything... You're a very nice all-'round man!

My name is just a nickname people call me, a derivitave of my real name.

I used to have an e-mail name the same (still have it but never check it), but my computer person said it had to be changed, for some reason, so we made a new one using my business name.

My name is taken from the first inhabitant of our pond..Last year after it was filled for about a week, the neighborhood kids came by and asked if I wanted a frog for our pond. They had one in a bucket and his name was Freddie Peepers.
So when I found this site it was a natural choice. My icon is a picture of him taken in our pond

Human Paper?  Now that is very curious...does that mean you use your skin to write posty notes and memos on (I do that on the back of my hand...although if I could I'd write stuff backwords on my forehead so that everytime I looked in the mirror it would remind me what I was supposed to remind myself about) ?

It is good to learn what people's screen name means. We develop a mental image of people on here and the screen name is the first peep into their personality. I would have never imagined the Freddy Peepers was the name of a frog, it's funny what sticks in your head.
