Big Bird was a Chicken...
« on: November 01, 2006, 08:08:53 AM »
This heron was sitting on top of a mountain of freshly screened topsoil...

took one pic, walked a little closer and he turned into a chicken.;)

Then noticed a few lotus pods floating here and there...the last few windy days broke most of them off the stalks.

:)

Cool pictures of big bird :)  Lotus pods are beautiful, some look like tiny pumpkins. They remind me that winter is at hand. :( :(

You weren't wearing that flashing pink wig were you?  :D
You must have penetrated his safe zone.

Ya, Mud lake is lined with those lotus lying about now too.

Chicken? I'd guess it just has a good survival instinct...

Great shots!  Look at all those pods, wow.  That looks like a pretty big job getting all those out of the pond, and a cold job too.

That heron looks like it tucked its tail and flew...lol
