Container pics from yesterday
« on: June 28, 2009, 05:00:49 PM »
It's been a hetic summer, but I manage to get a shot of these containers on our dock of mU and Charlies Choice.  I wasn't sure it would make it in a salt water environment.

YEs Vickie, the blue one is one of my favorites too.  Kittyzee here are a few more shots of our new house site, including future site of a 20'30' pond.  I also took a shot of a morning visitor.  He seems to fish much better than I!!!! lol

Why do you have salt in your containers?

Wow, that's a lovely setting!   @O@  I love your wrap-around porch...my old house has one, I don't know what I'd do without it!  Tell me again what body of water you built your house on--it would be hard to leave there just to drive in to the grocery store!

Great location for your pond.  I'll bet you'll have to take extra precautions if you have fish in your man-made pond to protect them from your 'visitor'.  I don't think he'll do much damage where he is now  ;)

Thanks for sharing again  8)

Thanks everyone. GTN we get a lot of strong winds off the Cheaspeake and salt spray everywhere, so that is what I'm refereing to.

Luann this is right next to middle of nowhere on a small creek off the Rappanonnock River that feeds the Cheapeake, can you say crab cakes!!!!

OMG!  That sounds like a dream come true--being landlocked in the middle of Ohio!!  I crave fish/seafood all the time, and when I do get fish in a restaurant, (unless it's deepfried) they don't know HOW TO COOK IT!  :'(

Your place is beautiful!  Its what my dream place would look like in my mind..nice big house overlooking a stream or river and in the middle of nowhere among the trees - but not too shady or you cannot grow lilies... Do you have a view of mountains or hills too?

Was it hard to find such an ideal setting?

My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!

Hi Maryvonne:  Thanks for the comments, hopefully you will have a beautiful view of Howe sound soon.  I was in Portland last week for a conference and drove to Richland Wa, what a beautiful drive though the Columbia Gorge...I wanted to sample all of the wines!!  But this area reminded me very much of the Sea to Sky highway.

Thanks GTN it only looks bigsince we raied the area by 6' to get out of the flood plain.  This was DW minimal house, i.e. we scaled back by over 30%  from our current house in Chadds Ford!
