Call me Scentimental
« on: November 01, 2006, 10:32:25 AM »
Just over a year ago or so I believe it was Joyce who showed a photo of a rose named 'Scentimental'.  At the time I was preparing to re-landscape my front yard and the fetching one wanted some roses.  I was smitten by the looks of Scentimental and the apparent fragrance was an additional bonus.  Put your nose close to your monitor and perhaps the strong fragrance will come through...

Are you sure that rose isn't called "On Wisconsin"?

That is gorgeous O0

Beautiful. If I had enough sun it would be on my list for sure. I need recommendations for shade plants. I never thought my trees would mature this fast.

That's so pretty . . . but no matter how much I squish my nose to the glass, I just can't smell it.  (Durn, now I have to wipe off the screen to see it - doesn't look so good with bugars on it!)

It is a fantastic specimen. It was one of three varieties I bought my dad for father's day this year. In addition to the beauty it is highly fragrant as Mikey says. I got a good deal on them in the spring from Dutch Gardens...

Wow, lovely rose, Mikey. I will have to put it on my list for the new garden.

That is beautiful. Wish I could smell it. Not going to cram my face on the monitor though....LOL

My DH complained that I didn't have many roses so I added a few this year but Midnight Blue is the only scented one. It does have a wonderful fragrance but the two boring Knock Outs that I planted at the same time bloomed a hundred times more and are still blooming. Wish I would have ponied up for Double Knock Out but they were $25 and the single was $2.99. For a care free landscape rose with bright color, I don't see how it could be beat. They have been like the Energizer Bunny with very little care.
