Hubby had a really bad day . . . . .
« on: November 02, 2006, 05:31:18 AM »
He came home in a very bad mood yesterday.  The girls noticed that there was a 'silver car' in the driveway, looked and his wasn't there, so they asked him where he left his car.  So he tells us he wrecked it.  Well they had fun exploring the new car and seeing what it looked like inside (it's the same kind he said he was going to buy me if mine ever dies - it's got 95000 miles on it and it breaks, but it hasn't died yet.)

Now, DH's car is not new, in fact it's almost 8 years old.  But if you got in it, you'd never know it was more than a month old - he keeps it absolutely spotless and it didn't have a scratch on it.  He really takes good care of his car.  The loaner is stained and looked filthy because of it, and I know he hates that!

Well, to make matters worse, the girls noticed this morning that the back window of his loaner, which is an SUV, and noticed that it was shattered and had a huge hole in it.  Looked out in the driveway and see the rest of the window.  It seems the poor guy isn't used to driving an SUV and so he backed it into a tree and the nub where a branch used to be went thru the window.

Talk about your bad day - two wrecks for the price of one!

He's okay, right?  Usually it's the second day after a "event" when you start to hurt...  Does his car just have a boo-boo, or are they going to total it?  Maybe he'll get a brand new car to baby!

"OK, who left the nub on this tree so close to the driveway? I want names!" well, that would have been me anyway.
Hope all will eventually be right.

Cheers,

Mike

He didn't offer a description of the first wreck (the one involving his own car), and given the mood he was in, I didn't ask any questions.  So I don't know if it's seriously hurt or not.   Poor guy - hope today has gone better for him . . . .

there's gotta be a good story there though. Glad he's OK.

Well, neither wreck must have been too bad since he came home in his own car last night.

1500 gallon pond. Most residents are 11 yrs old. Most are Koi, with one 9 yr old bullhead catfish. Residents took a trip of one hr to their new home. We all moved to this home just over a yr ago. They love their new digs!
