IWGS Online Waterlily Auction
« on: July 14, 2009, 04:35:01 AM »
Hi all,
The IWGS has a number of rare and new waterlilies and waterlily sets that are up for auction now.
This includes N. 'Ultra Violet', N. 'Bull's Eye' that no one has yet as well as a bunch of Dr. Slearmlarp Wasuwat's hybrids that have not been introduced to the trade in the United States.

If you are interested, the Auction goes from now until Sautrday.
Click the picture to follow the link to the pdf for more details.
It is a 549 Kb PDF file. If you bid, good luck.
By the way, this is open to all. You do not have to be a member of the IWGS to have a chance at this.

The only hardy that was donated was the Pink Ribbon which you already got from Pairat. ;)

I think I will wait to kill one of those pre-release beauties until others have a chance to kill them first!!!  I can see why the hype is on for Ultra Violet, tho, I really like that bloom!

Tim, nothing in particular, just weird and rare stuff.  ;)
I would like to try Red Sipder again, this time NOT in the koi pond.  ::)
The koi murdered my last RS.  >:(-
And any mini I don't already have.  8)

Going down to the front pond to take more pix.
And then will take a few more up here at the lotus pond outside my office window.
Peace to all  ... Joyce

The bloom on N. 'Ultra Violet' is awesome but the pads are also a killer.
They are mottled red and a sort of red/olive color... very distinctive.

I don't think saying 'no one yet' has N. 'Ultraviolet' or N. 'Bull's Eye' is 100% accurate.<g>  I've seen 'em and they are gorgeous lilies, but I personally think that 'Bull's Eye' is the prettier of the two.  But then that is just a matter of personal taste.

I would take either, but my personal favorite (today) is your 'Caliente' anyway!  And those giant pads have used up all of my spare room!

And "no one" in this case means "no peons like me"!!!   @O@

I hope all of them eventually make it to the general public.

Caliente is a pond hog but gorgeous along with so many others of Craig's hybrids. O0 O0
Kat

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

Thanks, Kat, for getting the pig to me!  It passed its tenth bloom a few weeks ago, and I have NEVER seen a pad as big as these!  Craig, good work on the breeding, the plant is amazing-my favorite trop.

Tim:

I am oh so tempted to put in a bid or two, just for fun....we'll see...

Good luck to all who bid.
Even the one's from Dr. Sam are a great deal as most of his material has not been widely introduced to the states.
