Yep the dwarf golden Sweetflag is a very nice plant...they stay green all year here...and our Oklahoma winters can get pretty cold..but, you can always count on them for a little color during the winter....

Mine is soiless, not in a pot. I tuck it in between rocks and after a while the roots attach themselves securely to the rocks and liner. It gets everything it needs directly from the water......

I had 6 different types of plants that were plopped on the ledge under the rocks about 5-6 years ago. We tore them all out this early summer and tossed them all. Some had gone into the soil at the edge of the liner so I left them to grow but I'm afraid that most of that stuff will take over the world if allowed.
